Undergraduate/Graduate Project Overview

The Caribbean Computing Center for Excellence will offer undergraduate/graduate research experiences to 115 students per year. These students will research in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or Information Technology in our different site campuses of the Alliance.

During the summer, our scholars will have the opportunity to travel to the US mainland and have a firsthand Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in which they will acquire the tools and knowledge to develop themselves at graduate academic levels. Our benefits include:

  • Undergraduate Students: $1,600 stipend/ ten month period
  • Graduate Students: $2,000 stipend/ ten month period

Requirements:

  • STEM or Information Technology Major with GPA >3.0 or higher.
  • Commitment to work in research projects during the semester and 8-10 week summer research internships.
  • Commitment to prepare for GRE and TOEFL exams.
  • Attend scientific conferences during the semester and English Language Workshops.

Documents required:

  • Submit formal CCCE application.
  • Academic resume. The resume should include:
    • Education
    • Research Experiences
    • Honors, Awards, Scholarships, etc.
    • Extracurricular activities
    • Work experience
    • Skills
  • Two letters of recommendation from science & math professors.
  • Official Transcripts.
